PlanMapper is an internet-based mapping and database query tool being designed to assist stakeholder access to land use planning information in BC. In this demonstration version, the six Land and Resource Management Plans (LRMP) falling within the bounds of the Omineca Beetle Action Coalition area and a small sample selection of other plans are presented. As the tool is developed, further plans of various types and complexity will be added to allow the user to access specific land use plan information for the user-defined area of interest.
IMPORTANT – Please read the following before using the PlanMapper tool.
PlanMapper is in the earliest stages of development and testing. The data presented (both spatial and textual) are limited in scope and comprehensiveness, and have not been tested for quality assurance. Those requiring precise legal boundaries should consult with the relevant data owners or providers. Because this site is in development, the tool may occasionally be unavailable for short periods of time. Because many of the plans and spatial layers are large files, a high-speed internet connection is optimal for use of this tool.
A tutorial and help menu specific to PlanMapper will be provided in due course. Note that your web browser must be set to allow pop-ups. General user help information may be found on the FIST site at UNBC.
